While
discussing about the concept of Body Area Network, the company
executives of the Service Wing Healthcare explained that it consists of one or more sensors that are
micro mobile intercommunicative in nature and are integrated into a
Band-aid (“smart band aid”), glucose monitors, wrist-bands,
and Bluetooth scales that are mostly easily wearable and are
unobtrusive in nature. These wearables monitor the essential
body parameters and the movements, while the sensors, interacting
through the wireless technologies, help in transmitting data from the
body of the patient to a virtual cloud platform and from here the
data is sent to the clinic or anywhere else in real time paradigm.
The company executives also mentioned their specialties in
developing a technological solution for improvement in the aspects of
assessment, coupled with allocation, and constant follow-up of the
mental health services for the veterans and work towards an approach
that's focused on patient care.
